Privacy & cookie policy

1 About us

1.1 Unilabs AB, reg no 556118-7179 (hereinafter also called “we”, “our” or “us”), is the data controller of personal information that we collect and manage. Unilabs is organised and registered under the laws of Sweden with its registered address at Råsundavägen 12, 169 67 SOLNA .

We process personal information in accordance with the Swedish Personal Data Act (SFS 1998:204) (“PDA”) and, consequently, Directive 95/46/EC on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data. The information will be processed in obedience to the EU Regulation (2016/679) in the protection of natural persons with regards to the processing of personal data on the free movement of such data (hereinafter “GDPR”) from 25 May 2018.

2 About our privacy and cookies policy

2.1 This Privacy and Cookies Policy (hereinafter “the Policy”) describes the principles concerning our use and processing of the personal data that you provide to us and that we collect when you use our website (www.unilabs.com) or the data we receive when you apply for a position with Unilabs The Policy describes how the data is protected, used and shared and it also describes your rights concerning your personal data. We therefore ask you to read this Policy carefully.

2.2 We may change this Policy due to changes in our service or applicable laws. An updated version of this Policy will be available on our website, www.unilabs.com.

2.3 The website might provide links to external websites, for which Unilabs is not responsible. Unilabs shall not be liable for the processing of personal data on such websites. This Policy is not applicable for potential processing of personal data on such websites and we recommend that you read the privacy policies of the controllers of such websites.

3 Purpose for processing of personal data

3.1 We process your personal data for the following purposes:

-        To be able to contact you, administrate job applications and study candidatures (if you apply for a position with Unilabs)

-        To improve the website with information about how you use the website which we collect through cookies (see below)

3.2 If our services require registration or the fulfilling of an application we do need to collect personal data such as name, e-mail address, contact details and information contained in a Resume in order for our Human Resources section to administrate job applications. 

3.3 We collect information through the use of cookies. We collect the following information:

  • Geolocation

  • Time of visit, pages visited, and time spent on each page of the webpages

  • Referring site details (such as the URI a user came through to arrive at this site)

  • Domain, browser type and language

  • Country and time zone

  • Click behaviour

  • Type of operating system (OS)

  • Flash version, JavaScript support, screen resolution, and screen color processing ability

  • Network location and IP address.

  • Document downloads

  • Clicks on links leading to external websites

  • Errors when users fill out forms

  • Clicks on videos

  • Scroll depth

  • Interactions with site-specific widgets

Information is collected to understand how visitors use the website. We are able to identify individuals from this type of information.

3.4 The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is to fulfill the legitimate interest of administrating your potential application for a position with Unilabs and to improve our website.

3.5 Appropriate security measures are in place to prevent unlawful use of your personal data and to protect the security and integrity of the information we collect.

4 Retention of personal data

4.1 The personal data collected from you is retained for as long as needed to fulfil the purposes of collecting the personal data. When personal data is no longer needed it is deleted.

4.2 Personal data might be kept if it is necessary according to legal requirements.

5 Recipients of personal data

5.1 Unilabs employs other organisations to perform services. We will share your personal information with organisations that need to process your personal data on our behalf, e.g. to manage and service our data, distribute emails or administrating certain services. Therefore, the information might be shared with such service providers, for example IT suppliers.

5.2 The organisations are not allowed to use the information for any other purposes other than according to Unilabs instructions.

6 Transfer your personal data outside the EU or EEA

6.1 Unilabs might transfer your personal data to recipients located in other countries than the country where your data was collected. Personal data will only be transferred to countries outside the EU/EEA in case you have submitted a job application for a position with Unilabs in Peru, Australia, United Arab Emirates or Saudi Arabia. For such transfers, Unilabs will take measures to ensure an adequate level of protection for your personal data.

7 Information of your rights

7.1 If we process your personal data, you have the right to request access to this personal data. You have the right to know why we collect the personal data and how we process it, what kind of personal data we process, which organisations receive the personal data and how the personal data is stored.

7.2 You have the right to receive a copy of the personal data that we process free of charge. You can make a request for access to your personal data by a signed letter. You may also make such request via email, in which case you are entitled to request a digital copy.

7.3 You have the right to withdraw your given consent for Unilabs’ use of your personal data. This will not affect the use of the information about you prior to you withdrawing the consent.

7.4 You are entitled to request rectification of inaccurate personal data, limitation of our processing and completion of incomplete personal data. You also have the right to request that your personal data is deleted if the information is incorrect or unlawful. Further, you have the right to request that the personal data, that you have provided to Unilabs, is transferred to a new controller.

7.5 If you want to make a complaint about the way we process your personal data you have the right to do so to the Data Protection Authority.

8 Cookies

8.1 Unilabs uses cookies to receive and record information, we may also use other technologies to receive information (“Automatic Data Collection”). This may include personal information from your browser. When receiving this information, we follow the Act on electronic communication (SFS 2003:389).

8.2 In general terms, cookies are small scripts which are sent to your web browser on your computer, to your mobile phone or other technical devices that you use. The cookies are used to store information on the technical device and they act as a memory which means that your technical device is remembered when you revisit the website.

There exist two kinds of cookies, session cookies and persistent cookies. Session cookies only exist until you shut down the web browser on the technical devise. Persistent cookies exist for a longer, specified period.
